Jamie is a registered Architect AIBC and a member of the RAIC, and is a founding partner of a number of companies, including Banks Architecture and Permitting, specializing in commercial tenant improvements and attainable residential development. Jamie's success comes from the foundational belief that supporting the visions of individual champions of our community, such as local business owners, can lead to better collective outcomes than centralized planning. Following two degrees at the University of Waterloo, Jamie first developed these views by completing his award-winning thesis focused on developing free market strategies to provide attainable housing amidst the height of Vancouver’s housing crisis. Jamie now works diligently with the business community in Vancouver and beyond to forge the best path through permitting and licensing processes for hundreds of clients each year.

Following work experiences in Toronto, Manchester, and Vancouver, Jamie became a key leader at a local BC firm, eventually leading multiple teams overseeing a combined construction value exceeding three-quarters of a billion dollars, before starting Banks. His portfolio includes office and industrial renovations, multifamily housing from townhomes to masterplans, and projects for industry leaders such as BC Housing and Seaspan Vancouver Shipyards. Jamie brings a deep understanding of both small and large, complex projects, as well as a strong mix of collaborating experience with non-profits, businesses, First Nations, and municipalities, providing Jamie with a unique skill set at the intersection of key stakeholders to any project.

Jamie remains an active volunteer in the community, notably in past roles as an architectural instructor at Arts Umbrella to children 4-8 years old, and most recently as a board member of the Vancouver Transportation Committee from 2022 to 2026.

Richard is a corporate and commercial lawyer with legal expertise in corporate acquisitions, restructuring, and real estate with a practical, entrepreneur-focused approach shaped by his own experience as a founder. He co-founded several successful ventures including Twin Sails Brewing in Port Moody, Bar Susu, Novella, MamaSaid Pizza, and Published on Main, giving him firsthand insight into the realities of launching and operating businesses. His dual perspective as both legal advisor and operator allows him to provide grounded, strategic guidance that aligns with real-world business challenges and opportunities. Richard’s contributions to the hospitality and beer industries earned him “2019 Foodie of the Year” by Western Living Magazine, alongside recognition as a top business lawyer by Vancouver Courier and Georgia Straight. He has also been named a “Best Lawyer – Ones to Watch” since 2023, reflecting strong peer recognition within the legal community. One of his ventures, Published on Main, achieved national acclaim as Canada’s Best Restaurant and earned a Michelin Star in 2022, underscoring the caliber of his business involvement. Academically, Richard holds a Bachelor of Laws from City University London, a Master’s in Art Business from the University of Manchester (Sotheby’s), and a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours) from York University, complemented by accreditation through Canada’s National Committee on Accreditation. He is an active member of the Law Society of British Columbia and the Canadian Bar Association, and previously served as a Director of Small Business BC from 2021 to 2024, demonstrating ongoing leadership within the entrepreneurial and legal ecosystem.

Stephen is an experienced M&A advisor and entrepreneur. He has achieved two successful exits, including selling his last business to Cryptologic Software, Profit Magazine’s fastest-growing company in Canada in 2001. Stephen’s first company was in the Internet Service Provider sector providing Internet Access solutions to the business market in Vancouver.

Stephen brings over 14 years of experience in business brokerage and real estate sales to provide strategic guidance throughout the acquisition process. Stephen advises on all elements of sourcing opportunities and closing deals.

Born and raised on the North Shore, Rob Macfarlane recently completed his degree at the UBC Sauder School of Business with a specialization in Real Estate. He built a strong foundation in the industry throughout his studies, completing three summer internships at top commercial real estate brokerages. Today, Rob works full-time in the field at Cushman & Wakefield focusing on industrial sales and leasing. Away from the office, he's usually at the gym or out on the golf course or hockey rink.

Ben Macfarlane is a North Shore native and a recent graduate of the UBC Sauder School of Business, where he specialized in the Real Estate program. During his time at university, Ben gained hands-on industry experience by spending three summers interning with leading commercial real estate brokerage firms. He has since transitioned into a full-time role, where he specializes in industrial sales and leasing. Outside of work, Ben enjoys staying active at the gym and playing sports, including golf and hockey.

Steve Harrison is Sales Director at Pavilion Business Services and has been with the firm for over 15 years. He advises executive leadership teams on acquisition mandates, leading proprietary sourcing initiatives and transaction negotiation.

Prior to joining Pavilion, Steve held Vice President roles at Midland Walwyn and HSBC, where he worked in capital markets and advisory functions. A UBC Wall of Fame inductee and former professional athlete with the Ottawa Rough Riders, Steve brings seasoned leadership to complex transaction environments.

Pavilion Business Services acts as acquisition and negotiation advisor to Hosseinpour Heights, supporting targeted expansion through proprietary opportunity sourcing and transaction execution. The firm works closely with leadership to identify qualified opportunities, structure terms, and advance transactions through diligence and closing.

With a national footprint and decades of combined experience, Pavilion advises on lower‑middle market acquisitions across multiple sectors, aligning seller transition objectives with disciplined buyer growth strategies.
